FACILITY:
Ivangorod Fortress is a medieval castle of the XV century, a classic example of the "Russian" fortress which has geometrically regular forms and is built of laminated limestone, it is fortified with round towers. The Fortress is located in the Leningrad region, in the city of Ivangorod, on the right bank of the Narva river, on the border with Estonia.THE YEAR OF CONSTRUCTION: 1492

Together with our partners from IntiLED company (a Russian producer of LED lighting equipment for facade lighting) we are implementing a non-commercial project to install a facade lighting for a landmark piece of architecture, Ivangorod fortress, which lies on the Russian-Estonian border.GOAL:
By the end of 2018 we intend to finish the project of facade lighting of all fortress's walls (total length is more than 1300 meters).

PANORAMA:
Ivangorod Fortress located on the hill of one of the banks is opposed to the Narva fortress. They make the two dominant panoramic views of the natural landscape of the Narva river. The main source of lighting is a natural, background sky with transition from warm sunset to neutral evening and cold night temperature colors. The Narva fortress and its landscape have a slight accent lighting in the warm spectrum.

CURRENT STATUS OF THE PROJECT:
At the moment the draft plan of lighting of the first "part" of the fortress's facade has been developed, mock-ups have been made and lighting equipment has been selected. The calculation of electrical power capacity required for the implementation of the lighting project has been done, and a request for allocation of additional capacities has been submitted.
