"AMMIAK-4"

Briefly about the project

"Ammiak-4" is one of the largest ammonia production units in the CIS, located at the Acron plant. The volume of investments in the project "Ammiak-4" amounted to about $ 500 million.

Construction of the new unit was started in June of 2014. Its annual capacity reaches 700 thousand tons of ammonia (more than 2000 tons per day). The new ammonia unit is much more efficient than the existing ones – its gas consumption makes 938 m3/t. Energy consumption is slightly over 7 Gcal per one ton of ammonia, which is 15% lower than at the existing units.

Economical operation of the unit will significantly reduce expenses on natural gas and as a result will lead to reduction of production costs.

With the commissioning of the Ammiak-4 unit, the production volume of the product on the Novgorod site of "Acron" will make 1.9 million tons per year. The Acron Group also has ammonia production capacities at the Dorogobuzh plant in the Smolensk region (600,000 a year) and the Hongri Acron plant in China (100,000 tons per year).
